PIA of Indiana honors Motorists with Company Award of Excellence
Our commitment to the independent agency system recently received accolades from the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) of Indiana.
The Motorists Insurance Group was presented with the 2008 PIA Company Award of Excellence (company of the year) to recognize the strong relationships we've forged with independent agents and the value we place on the personal service and counsel they offer policyholders.
Charles Stapleton, senior vice president of Property and Casualty Marketing, accepted the award at the 2008 PIA Annual Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony on May 9. "We work hard to be a high-touch, relationship-based company," Stapleton said in accepting the award.
"It's an honor to be recognized by the PIA and to receive this award for our dedication to the independent agency system," Stapleton said. "It's an example of the commitment we have in common with the PIA to be a partner in success with independent agencies and provide the highest level of customer service."
PIA members nominated Motorists for the award because of the company's continual support and assistance to agents, including help with career producer and CSR recruitment and training, and assistance with agency perpetuation.
"Motorists Mutual Insurance Company is very agent-oriented," PIA President and Motorists agent Arnie Myers said. "Because of their progressive attitude and support of the independent agency system, PIA is pleased to recognize Motorists for its strong contribution to our industry."
