The Motorists Insurance Group selected as carrier of the year by Independent Insurance Agents of Ohio, Inc.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Oct. 14, 2009) – The Motorists Insurance Group is committed to being the best possible insurance choice for agents and policyholders, and its efforts have been recognized by the Independent Insurance Agents of Ohio, Inc.
The organization has selected Motorists as the recipient for its 2009 Eagle Award.
The award honors the outstanding carrier of the year and was presented to Motorists Insurance Group Chairman, President and CEO John Bishop during the Ohio Big I's annual meeting Oct. 13 in Columbus.
"We are tremendously honored to have been chosen to receive the Eagle Award," Bishop said. "To be recognized by the IIAO, in our home state, as the outstanding carrier of the year is very humbling. We certainly want to thank the leadership of the association for their vote of confidence."
Motorists was recognized for supporting operations such as the Trusted Choice® initiative, IIAO Annual Meeting, Big 'I' Young Agents activities and Big 'I' educational programming. The company is proud to support these initiatives that promote agents and increase the visibility of the independent agency system.
Motorists joined Trusted Choice in 2008 as part of the company's commitment to help support the independent agency system, build and maintain strong agency relationships and provide superior service.
