"I am writing to inform you of the wonderful service I received from a couple of Motorists Mutual employees. I was recently in a car accident, hit by a Motorists insured. I have been in accidents before where the process was extremely painful ... getting quotes, having quotes denied; getting new quotes; arguing to get a rental car (or not receiving one at all); or claim representatives being unfriendly, unhelpful or not responsible. "The accident took place on Jan. 27, and I initiated the claim process with Bob on Jan. 31. He immediately arranged to have Dan come out and take a look at the vehicle and get information for my rental car. He informed me that it may take two to three days before Dan would get a chance to come out, but I received a phone call from Dan later that same day!
"I work at a fairly large office building with a large parking lot. Dan picked me up [right in front of my building] and took me to my car to take a look (which is a lot better than walking a quarter mile in wonderful Ohio weather). Dan took a look at my car, asked me a few questions and faxed over the estimate to my body shop, all while we were in the car. In a matter of 10 to 15 minutes, we were done and he was on his way. I received the check two days later. I also mentioned to Bob that my front license plate was ruined in the accident as well, and it was going to cost me around $15 to replace. He agreed to replace that as well, which was not something I was expecting to be covered. That check was also received two days later.
"I scheduled my appointment to get the car fixed, and informed Bob when I would need the rental car. I was pretty concerned that I was going to receive a small economy car, something that was not comparable to what I own. That was not the case at all. To my pleasant surprise, I was given a midsize vehicle (Toyota Camry), which matched my vehicle (Ford Fusion). This was a huge relief!
