Prepping for an Interview

Prepping for an Interview

A job interview is much like a first date. You can pretend to be someone you’re not, but sooner or later the real you comes out. We want to meet the real you. So the first tip for a successful interview with Motorists is to relax and be you. Don’t worry about wearing a sharp suit –– we enjoy a business-casual environment. But if the suit makes you more comfortable, we won’t mind.

As much as we are interviewing you, you will be interviewing us. So expect a comfortable, free-flowing exchange of information. We’re proud of Motorists and we love to share and explain the qualities that make our company great. We want you to explain the great things about you. But more importantly, we want to understand your career interests and aspirations. What’s the secret of your success so far? What things are most important to you?

First things first
The first thing we need you to do is fill out our employment application. Make sure you bring it with you to the interview. Also bring along some extra résumés, a pen and something to write on for notes. Get directions to Motorists so you know where you’re going, where to park and how to enter our building. Be on time. Even better, arrive 10 minutes early. It will give you some time to relax and gather your thoughts. Ask us questions. It gives us insight on how you think. Finally, enjoy the process. Meeting new people and learning about a new opportunity is fun. Still have questions? Give us a call at 1-800-876-6642 or at 614-225-8314.
